Better than expected. A strong 3.5 star rating, almost a 4, so lets be generous and say 4.

At first I wasn't too impressed. The characters didn't impress me much and the insta-pyschic understanding and the need to be touching annoyed me. But then things change and I get really drawn into the book. the idea of the title is just part of the story. The middle. There is a good build-up and much to come after.
It reminds me of the 5th Wave in several ways.

It does have some obvious errors that need editing but overall enjoyable. I will look into the next book of the series.

I don't normally read books that are less than 350 pages, and this one reminded me why! It ended WAY to soon. I felt the story come to life as Kara began her 3 day journey. I became intrinsically woven Into the lives of the 3 main characters with each new endeavor they faced. Get to writing Ms Krista! We need to know what's going to happen ) Did I mention I'm actually from Nixa. Give me 3 days...
Good twists..pretty much kept my interest thru entire book but end leaves you hanging....
I chose five days because this book may have been short, but the description was amazing. I love the characters and how Krista describes them along with their actions. My favorite character was Blaine. I recommend this book to teens/tweens who love reading dystopian books. Even adults.

This has to have been written by a child. It was so bad I read it aloud to my daughter and we rolled around laughing. Please, please get an editor or someone with some sense to read this and fix it.

I can't even give a sense of the plot because it's just so awful. A solar flare shuts off power and some evil bat faced people appear. They can't go out in daylight or apparently touch automobiles or guns. Regular humans apparently instantly lose all sense of humanity except our three heroes and a crazy dentist who has lost his license but can still remove bullets and cure raging infections. Bumps on the head cause amnesia ONLY of plot points and a 15 year old kid sends the parents home when their daughter is so badly concussed she is unconscious for over 24 hours then drives her home even tho her parents are present and have just shown her more affection than the prior year.

It's part one... I will not be reading part two!!
Some interesting ideas in this book and I'm a fan of this genre. I'm glad to see so many writers taking a chance with dystopian. Madden will be an author to watch for.
This was an interesting novel. It was a relatively fast read, but with an interesting premise.
Let to believe that her true love no longer cared for her she spent the next year just ignoring everyone and everything. Becoming strong enough mentally and physically to take on challenges she herself would not believe. Needing to get to her love and to safety from things she does not understand. What has happened to cause the earth the stop everything and what is in the darkness that destroys everything in its path. The intruders are coming and coming fast what wil they do to survive? Part one of a series I truly like this read and plan to go through with the rest of the series. reccomended for anyone this read truly was worth it!
